James V. Schall, S.J., is Professor of Government at Georgetown University. He is the author of numerous books on social issues, spirituality, culture, and literature -- and since the advent of his pontificate in 2005, has provided regular commentary on the addresses of Pope Benedict XVI for Ignatius Press.
